These works directly referenced the literature, poetry, and philosophical texts that inspired my practice at the same time make no attempt to illustrate them. These sculptures reference writers of the past - in particular, Mallarmé, Mayakovsky and Blake -- whose radical visions helped fashion our present culture and continue to have a particular resonance in view of contemporary cultural issues.
